Clay Chimeneas
Mexican Chimeneas are the most original patio heaters you can buy. Chimeneas have been part of the fabric of Mexican life since the 17th Century, originally being used as bread ovens. They have now become popular as outdoor fireplaces to create a little warmth and ambience on a cool evening. Light a fire in one as the evening chill sets in and the whole Chimenea warms up, radiating heat all around.
Although a chimenea's main function is as a heat source, it is possible to cook a variety of foods with them. Different designs have lift off lids with barbeque grill.and we have a wide variety of shapes, sizes and colours in stock ranging from £40.00 - £150.00.
Our chimeneas are all frost resistant, unlike many others being made. They are strong enough to withstand high temperatures, of a good thickness to be an effective heat source and can burn either wood or charcoal. Each chimenea comes with its own wrought iron stand and with care will last for years.
Cast Iron Chimeneas
Our cast iron chimeneas are tradionally sand cast and finished with a high temperature paint. Each comes boxed and requires simple assembly. Due to the very nature of cast iron, the surface of these chimeneas will rust in time. Many people admire this natural ageing, but to bring back to new, coat with a high temperature stove or BBQ paint.
Fire Baskets
Made from steel and coated with high temperature paint, the firebasket will last for years. Each one includes a base plate to protect your patio from falling embers. Note that the firebasket will rust over time - it may be repainted with high temperature paint.
Fire Bowls
These fantastic firebowls will be a feature for your garden your years to come! Our copper firebowls are basically a huge copper bowl on a wrought iron stand to be used as a patio fire pit. Due to the large diameter of the firebowls, you can create a really impressive fire on them which heats a large area all around. Some models have mesh safety covers for added security around children and pets. Due to the nature of copper, the firebowl will gradually tarnish and age over time, especially if burnt with intense fires. This natural patina is just as pleasing as a shiny new bowl but, if required, the shine can be brought back by applying a copper cleaner such as 'Brasso' and a bit of elbow grease!
