Naylor industries have developed a firing process in order to produce drainage pipes that will withstand the rigours of the British climate. This firing process is also suitable for the planters. The planters are fired to temperatures in excess of 1050°C for up to 10 days in order to produce a
black core of incredible strength within the flowerpot - thereby rendering it frostproof.
Cretian Urns
Hand-made in Crete, the styles and methods used in the creation of the terracotta originate from ancient Minoan traditions, dating back to the 2nd Millennium B.C. It is these pottery styles, tied up in nearly 4000 years of history that are repeated today.
